Gene Brown

Gene Brown is active/lives in Texas, Oregon.  Gene Brown is known for Contemporary landscape and floral still life painting.

Gene Brown, a native of Oregon, received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Art at the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1960.  After graduation, Gene freelanced in the San Francisco Bay area, eventually relocating to Dallas in 1962 with his wife and son.  He worked in advertising agencies and art studios through the early seventies and soon started up his own design firm.

In the mid-seventies Gene developed an avid interest in watercolor painting and became a member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society and also the Artist and Craftsman Association.

Gene has presented several successful shows in Texas, the first, a one man-show, at the Irving Art Association in 1976, the second, a one man-show, at the Haywood Gallery in 1966, and in 1995 he returned to the Irving Art Association.
